Rikugien is a Japanese type garden located in Tokyo. The garden is one of Japan’s cultural heritage from Edo’s era. It opens from 9am to 5pm. Entrance fee is ¥300 for adult. There are two sections of the garden: pond and man-made hills. Picnic is not allowed in the garden. Sitting areas can be found in many parts of the garden.
Like many other gardens in Japan, Rikugien is also a house for seasonal flower. I went here end of May but it was too early for Hydrangea and too late to see tsutsuji. This garden is within walking distance (around 10min) from Kyu Furukawa garden. There is combination ticket of ¥400 which one can use to enter this garden and Kyu Furukawa. I didn’t know this before, so I bought two tickets instead 🙁
