Best Places to Take Picture of Tokyo Station

Tokyo station is not just a station, it is symbol of Japan.  It was built in 1914 and celebrated its 100 years old anniversary on December 20th, 2014. The first shinkansen ever in Japan operated from this station. Today, Tokyo station is the busiest train station in Japan in term of number of trains arrive and depart daily.

As one of historical building in Japan, Tokyo station is a charm for visitors both domestic and international. People do not only come to the station for the sake of commuting only but also to take picture of this magnificent building.

Things you need to know

  • Access into Kitte and Marunouchi building is open during business hour  from 11am to 8pm
  • Shin Marunouchi building houses cafes and restaurants, it opens from 11am to 11pm
  • During illumination festival in december view deck from those buildings is closed for visitors for security reason
